The Topaz®S3 Inverter is known as the
industry standard inverter for critical environments such as the
telecom and data center industry. Specified by most major telecom
providers and equipment manufacturers the S3 earned it’s
reputation through many years of failsafe operation in the field.
Built for noise sensitive
DC environments: DC noise filtering circuits on the Topaz
S3 practically eliminate ripple current (<30 dBNRC and less than
2mV psophometric), a by product of most inverters that leads to
microcycling and can potentially damage even large DC battery
banks. Additional noise filters regulate both conducted and
radiated EMI to eliminate disruptive noise interference avoiding
disturbances to other sensitive equipment.
Heavy duty fault and overload withstand:
The Topaz S3 is constructed to withstand high output faults,
surges and overloads without damaging the inverter. Fault currents
are routed through a fast acting SCR based static bypass that can
accommodates overloads many times the inverters nominal rated
current.
True Hot Swap Technology: The Topaz S3
is housed in a draw-out receiver cabinet with an integrated
maintenance bypass switch allowing the inverter to be swapped out
with no risk of interruption to the critical load. The swap-out
procedure is inherently safe with the bypass activating a seamless
transfer when the inverter is removed.
TOPAZ S4 3.5-21 KVA N+1

The Topaz S4 N+1
scalable DC to AC inverter is used by most large telecom providers
as well as anyone looking for the highest grade of critical AC
power from a DC power plant.
Scalable 3.5 kVA power modules can be added in a
N+1 redundant
configuration up to 21 kVA making the S4 ideal to deal with future
power requirements.
S4 inverter modules are packaged into a
“hot swap” receiver cabinet that
allows anyone to safely replace or add modules without
interruption to the critical load.
Available as a complete power system, the S4
can be packaged with AC distribution and
external maintenance bypass in an open frame relay rack.
ONYX S5 3.5-21 KVA N+1

The ONYX S5 uses high density circuitry to provide 1500
Watts o W f power into a slim 1U rack mountable enclosure.
The Ultimate in Scalability: The ONYX
S5 can be paralleled for capacity or redundancy using the "plug
and play" synchronization cables. No external circuitry is
required. In excess of 20 units can be paralleled for capacity.
Single Phase / Three Phase / Split Phase:
The S5 can be configured for single phase, split phase or three
phase output. For three phase output, the S5 can be configured in
groups of three inverters (either parallel or single module
groups). Applications requiring split phase outputs (i.e. 208 V
and 120 VAC out) are addressed using the split phase output
converter module.
